Hampton Court Palace
Hampton court was the favourite residence of Henry viii. The palace had originally been built by Cardinal Wolsey but was handed over to Henry viii after Wolsey's downfall. Jane Seymour gave birth to Edward vi here in 1537.

Greenwich Palace was a famous Tudor residence and it was the birthplace of Elizabeth I and it was one of Henry's favourite residences. It is also known as the Palace of Placentia and sadly the palace no longer exists but the present day Royal Observatory stands on site where it was located.

Westminster Palace is located in the city of Westminster in London and on the Thames river and it was a well used palace during Tudor England. The palace today is home to the English Parliament but has all the original interiors of the Tudor dynasty. Westminster has a famous clocktower known as Big Ben.

Hever Castle

Kimbolton Castle is a country house located in Cambridgeshire. It was the final home of Henry viii's first wife Katherine of Aragon. It started life as a castle but was converted into a stately palace. It was here that Katherine of Aragon died in January 1536.

Windsor Castle has been a royal residence for nearly 900 years and it is still used today and Elizabeth I stayed here many times during her reign. At Windsor is At George's Chapel which is where Henry Viii is buried with Jane Seymour and his son Edward VI.

Tower of London
The Tower of London is one of the oldest buildings in England. It was constructed by William the Conqueror in the 11th century and during its time has been both a palace and a prison and is best known as a prison. At the Tower of London the monarchs were prepared for their coronation and it is also home to the Crown Jewels. Two of Henry's wives were executed at the Tower these being Anne Boleyn and Katherine Howard.

Kenilworth Castle is a castle located in Leicestershire that began it's construction in Norman times right through to Tudor era where new buildings were added to it. Here Robert Dudley held a great festivity for Elizabeth I. The castle was later ruined during the civil war.

In the 1540's the castle was confiscated by King Henry Viii before returning into the hands of its original family during his children reigns. The castle was dismantled in 1777 and later restored.

Dudley Castle
Dudley Castle is a ruined fortification in the town of Dudley, West Midlands, England. Originally a wooden motte and bailey castle built soon after the Norman Conquest, it was rebuilt as a stone fortification during the twelfth century but subsequently demolished on the orders of King Henry II. Rebuilding of the castle took place from the second half of the thirteenth century and culminated in the construction of a range of buildings within the fortifications by John Dudley. The fortifications were slighted by order of Parliament during the English Civil War and the residential buildings destroyed by fire in 1750. In the nineteenth and early twentieth century the site was used for fêtes and pageants.

Blickling Hall was the childhood home of the Boleyns and it is where Anne and her brother and sister were raised before the family were granted Hever Castle. Ever Halloween at Blickling the ghost of Anne Boleyn is said to be seen.

Suffolk Place is a mansion located in the borough of Southwark in London. The house was built in the fifteenth century by the Duke of Suffolk Charles Brandon. Later the mansion was exchanged and given to Henry Viii in exchange for Norfolk Place in 1536.

Westhorpe Hall
Westhorpe Hall was the residence of Charles Brandon, 1st Duke of Suffolk and of Princess Mary (daughter of King Henry VII and sister of King Henry VIII), a love match and second marriage for Mary (she was briefly Queen consort of France as wife of Louis XII) and third marriage for Charles. He was previously married to the wealthy widow Margaret Neville, and then Anne Browne, mother to Charles's two eldest daughters, Anne Brandon and Mary Brandon. There, they raised their children, Frances (mother of Lady Jane Grey), Eleanor, and Henry Brandon, 1st Earl of Lincoln. Princess Mary Tudor died at Westhorpe Hall where her body was embalmed and held in state for three weeks.

The structure seen today was first started in the time of James IV and the royal apartments date to the 16th century. Home to Mary Queen of Scots and Lord Darnley. Margaret Tudor and James VI married not far from the Palace and sometimes stay in the royal apartments on occasion.

Ethie Castle dates to around 1300 when the monks of the nearby Arbroath Abbey built a sandstone keep. The castle passed through the hands of the Details Maxwell family and into the hands of the last Cardinal David Beating who was murdered in 1546. In 1665 the Carnegie family purchased the castle.

St Andrews Cathedral
It was built in 1158 and became the centre of the Medieval Catholic Church in Scotland as the seat of the Archdiocese of St Andrews and the Bishops and Archbishops of St Andrews. It fell into disuse and ruin after Catholic mass was outlawed during the 16th-century Scottish Reformation. It is currently a monument in the custody of Historic Environment Scotland. The ruins indicate that the building was approximately 119 m (390 ft) long, and is the largest church to have been built in Scotland.
