King's Private Chambers

[Henry VIII]

The private chambers at Whitehall were the rooms where only royals and the royal family were allowed to enter.

The king's close friends, confidantes and loyal servants wait to show me up to the King's Chambers for I am Mistress Anne Boleyn and I am denied nothing by Henry.

[Henry VIII]

I waited for the guards to arrive with my dearly beloved Anne and soon I heard footsteps approaching my private Chambers.

[Guest]

I start to run because I am unable to be calm when I want to see Henry so much.

I am a little nervous and excited because he says he has some news for me so I wonder what that will be.

I hope he is as impressed with the book that I have with me to show him. I hope that I haven't overstepped the mark.

[Henry VIII]

The door to my chambers open and the guards present Anne to me and as she enters she hugs me with great pleasure.

"Anne my love you have finally made it tonight shall be a great night.

[Guest]

I am so pleased to be in Henry's arms once again.

[My darling, I am so happy to be here with you my love]

[Henry VIII]

I looked Anne in her beautiful eyes.

"I am so pleased to be alone with you at last my love.

[Guest]

Henry looks so pleased with himself and with me as he takes my hands and kisses them.

I long to be with you always Henry

I take Anne's hands and then look into her eyes.

"I will always long to be with you Anne and soon you will become the new Queen of England.

As Henry speaks to me about making me Queen of England I know that he is telling the truth that it will happen

It has been such a long time coming I can hardly believe it's really happening my love

[Henry VIII]

"I know we have waited a long time Anne but as it is things are getting closer and soon all will answer to you as well as me. I knew this news would please you as well.

[Guest]

I can't hide the pleasure on my face and I feel so close to this man who although he is the king of England, to me he is just a man in love.

We will give the country a houseful of heirs and we will give the people of England hope and such freedom my love.

[Guest]

Henry comes closer to me, kissing me gently on the cheek. I kiss him on the lips, giving into the temptation I have long since tried to refuse. His hand begins to rest on my thigh, yet I stop myself and move his hand away.

"Not yet, Your Majesty," I insist, wiping my face with my hand, "Not yet."

Before he can move away from me, I take his hand in my own and kiss the tips of each of his fingers. I move my lips to his palm and kiss it deeply. "When we are married, as we soon shall be, I will let you touch me there. Yet, for now, there shall only be kisses."
